Evidence Shows Vaccines Unrelated to Autism

The Immunization Action Coalition (IAC) presents a new handout for healthcare professionals called “Evidence Shows Vaccines Unrelated to Autism.” This new handout can be extremely helpful when talking with parents who have read about or heard claims that vaccines cause autism. The document lays out scientific evidence that refutes claims that any relationship exists between vaccines and autism. It also presents information on the findings of current research into autism’s causes. All of the IAC’s handouts are free and posted online for you to download and make copies. To access all of IAC’s free handouts go to: www.immunize.org/handouts.

  Universal Select Changes July 1st

Due to budget constraints with the current state biennium, the Immunization Section has transitioned from a Universal vaccine supply policy to Universal‐Select policy.  Effective July 1, 2011, Fremont County Public Health will continue to immunize non‐VFC eligible children (i.e. children with health insurance that covers immunizations) using publicly‐provided vaccines with the exception of the following vaccines:

1. Hepatitis A

2. Human papillomavirus (HPV)

3. Influenza

4. Meningococcal conjugate

We will be offering meningococcal conjugate as private stock vaccine at a cost of $110 per dose and seasonal Influenza vaccine at $20 per dose. All other required vaccines will remain available for all Wyoming children.

Immunize and win a Prize

Fremont County Public Health announces their enjoyable immunization incentive program. Any child or youth immunized is eligible for the weekly drawing.  Small prizes will be awarded weekly in each office. The goal of the program is to show families that timely immunizations are healthy and fun!
