GIS/MapServer now lets you interactively find out information about property located throughout Fremont County.  Look up lot lines; property ownership; tax districts; roads, streets, and highways; and more!

After taking a few minutes to read a simple tutorial and accepting the terms and conditions of the application, you can use the all-online (no downloads required) tool to answer those questions you’ve been wondering for years, like:

• Who owns that ground I’ve wanted to hunt on, but never knew who to call to ask permission?
• What tax assessment district does my property fall into?
• Is that all public ground out there…or is there some private acreage mixed in?  And who owns it?

The Assessor’s office will be re-appraising properties in the Dubois and the rural Lander area during April and May.  All appraisers have identification and vehicles marked with the County logo.  Please contact the Assessor’s office if you have any questions. This schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions and other factors.

Road Closures:

• Crooks Gap Road (County Road #318) in the vicinity of Jeffrey city south to the county line is closed until further notice due to dangerous winter conditions and drifting. (Posted 3-11-11) 
• Fremont County Transportation Department has now reopened Winter Road (County Road #515) from Wyoming Highway 28 south to the vicinity of the South Pass–Atlantic City.  This road was closed previously due to dangerous winter conditions and drifting. (Posted 3-15-11)
