The Capital Revolving Fund finances the purchase of vehicles and equipment for Fremont County agencies and component units. Purchases averaged $1.1 million annually for the six years ending June 30, 2010. Agencies are charged monthly rental payments which include a finance charge based on the expected life of the asset and rates quoted for U.S. Government securities. The fund is administered by the Fremont County Treasurer.
The Capital Revolving Fund was instituted in 1994 to finance the purchase of four motorgraders. The County’s General Fund has provided capital contributions totaling $3.9 million since inception. Total assets are expected to reach $5.6 million by end of fiscal year 2010. The proposed budget and five year projection anticipates no additional capital contributions and annual purchases ranging from $1.1 to $1.4 million annually for the next five years.
