During the last week in September of each year the Fremont County Treasurer sells the County’s tax lien on property associated with delinquent taxes owned on real estate and special assessment accounts. The sale enables the Treasurer to collect property taxes from a third party so timely distribution of anticipated property tax revenues to various tax entities (i.e. School Districts, Libraries, Cities, …) can occur.
