You will be required to pay sales tax to the County Treasurer's Office before the title is released to you. If you owe money on your vehicle, the title will be forwarded to the lending institution after sales tax is paid. After the 50 days, you will be assessed a penalty. There may be a situation where you do not owe sales tax, however , all customers must confer with the Treasurer's Office on this matter before we can release the title. You will be required to pay sales tax (or provide proof sales tax has been paid) to the County Treasurer's Office before the title is released to you or to your lending institution. Forms and Explanations Purchaser's Application: New owners will need to sign this application and have their signature notarized. This application should be attached to the title they are transferring. Click To Download Form Duplicate Application: If a Fremont County title has been lost, all owners must fill out and sign this application and have their signature notarized. A non-refundable fee of $9.00 is required to accompany the application. A duplicate title will be issued 11 days from the notary date as per Wyoming Statute. Click To Download Form Warranty and Notarization Statement: In some cases, several owners need to sign over their interest in a vehicle and this can be expedited by filling in the title information and sending this form to owners to have them sign over their interest in that vehicle as long as it is notarized. Click To Download Form Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) Form: Any vehicle that enters the State of Wyoming which has an out of state title must have a VIN inspection by any law enforcement officer prior to obtaining a Wyoming title. Law enforcement usually have these forms in their possession. This form may also be used in lieu of the Purchaser's Application. Click To Download Form Out of State Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) Form: In some instances, the County Clerk will allow an out of state VIN inspection form in lieu of the in-state VIN inspections form. This form is to be filled out, signed by a law enforcement officer and their signature notarized. If there is no place on your title for that information, please use this form and attach it to your title. Please note, BOTH the buyer and seller must fill out their portions of this form.
